Summer is in full swing, and so is our building project. With each passing day, the project takes shape as stone masons place the many, many concrete blocks and prepare the building facing for exterior brick.
Abatement is underway at the old school building, and demolition is anticipated to begin the week of August 13!
Students had an opportunity to decorate a block in the old school prior to its demolition. Their artwork was very creative and illustrated the impact of their time at Immaculate Conception Elementary School.
During the last days of school, students helped pack up teachers’ supplies, as the old building is prepped for demolition. It was an “all hands on deck” effort, and the work was carried out with great joy and cooperation.
