“Old School” Last Mass

Priests Deacons ServersLR

On June 13, 2017 – the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua – a final Mass was celebrated in the upper level of Immaculate Conception Elementary School (formerly the church). We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate one last Eucharist in this space. The priests wore special vestments (including hats called birettas) which would have been very familiar to those attending Mass, still said in Latin, “back in the day.”

Groundbreaking Day!

JUNE 1, 2017

Groundbreaking day began with a very special Mass celebrating the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother and Teacher in the Spirit with student participants from Mrs. Meddaugh’s 3rd grade class.

A box of campaign blessings, sacrifices and prayers was brought to the Mass then carried by students  to the groundbreaking site.

Bishop Steven Raica performed the Order of Blessing, and sprinkled the site of our new school with holy water.

The Bishop along with pastors representing our supporting parishes turned the first shovel of dirt, and many others joined in this celebratory moment.

A “dirt cup” dessert was served!
